Meet the four musicians who will perform for you on November 3rd.
Francesca dePasquale, violin, is a member of the violin faculty at Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the Juilliard School Pre-College Program. Additionally, she is a member of the violin faculty at the Heifetz International Music Institute, where she also serves as Director of their Program for the Exceptionally Gifted. As soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician, she appears for numerous prestigious festivals and series internationally. Ms. dePasquale is the violinist of the Aletheia Piano Trio, a member of the artist roster for Manhattan Chamber Players and Noree Chamber Soloists, and performs with Chameleon Arts Ensemble, Marinus Ensemble, and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra.
Luke Fleming, violist, became the Founding Artistic Director of both the Manhattan Chamber Players and the Crescent City Chamber Music Festival in 2015, and in 2024 he was named Artistic Program Director of Chamber Music Monterey Bay. He currently serves on the Viola and Chamber Music faculties of the University of New Orleans, Atlantic Music Festival, Festival del Lago, and The Woodlands Chamberfest.
Born in Tel-Aviv, Michael Katz began his cello studies at age seven. and received his BM degree from the New England Conservatory and his MMA degree from The Juilliard School. He has completed a Doctor of Music degree at SUNY Stony Brook. As the cellist of the Lysander Piano Trio, Mr. Katz was a winner of the 2012 Concert Artists Guild Competition, and was awarded first prize in the 2011 Coleman Competition and 2011 J.C. Arriaga Competition.
Pianist Mika Sasaki is an imaginative and versatile soloist, chamber musician, and educator whose performances and teaching have taken her to the UK, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, and throughout the US. Her debut album, Obsidian: Mika Sasaki plays Clara Schumann, released on Yarlung Records in 2016, was highly acclaimed. Based in New York City, Ms. Sasaki is a faculty member at the Juilliard School.
