About Howard Fishman

Howard Fishman, a resident of Chester CT and Brooklyn NY, is an author, musician, composer, theatre-maker, and cultural essayist. He began his musical career as a street musician in New Orleans, and continues to perform, record and tour in the US and abroad, fronting his various ensembles, as a solo artists and with a diverse list of artists. He filters a deep passion for New Orleans jazz, Brooklyn soul, open-hearted country, and blues & gospel music through an original, experimental aesthetic, to create a sound that The New York Times as written “transcends time and idiom.”
