About Andes Manta

Natives of the Ecuadorian Andes, the four Lopez brothers, Fernando, Luis, Bolivar, and Jorge, form the music group Andes Manta. Playing more than 35 traditional instruments, Andes Manta creates a vibrant and powerful sound, using such instruments as the quena, or Andean flute, and the six-foot long pan pipes. In 1986 the brothers were invited to perform at Bard College, and they have been performing throughout North America ever since. (Click here to read full biographies.)

Program will be announced.
There will be one intermission.

At the conclusion of the program, members of the audience are invited to meet the artists in a reception and share refreshments generously donated by Moravela’s Pizzeria.
